Challenge: NYPA sought support and substantial funding from the New York City Mayor and the City Council for the connection of a 660 MW Hudson Transmission Line connecting from New Jersey into Manhattan.
Solution: Developed an outreach strategy that solicited and leveraged support from a number of members of the City Council to convince the Mayor’s office to support the project.
Result: The State and City agreed to move forward on the construction and financing of the $850 million cable line that will become a major source of power to New York City.
