Government Benefits from Grant Strategy
- Challenge: The Great Neck Water Pollution Control District was seeking additional funds to assist in development of a new $60 million energy efficient waste water treatment facility. The District, in cooperation with the Village of Great Neck, consolidated treatment plants and sought dollars for its government efficiency efforts.
- Solution: Empire identified several federal and state grant programs that apply to waste water, government efficiency, and alternative energy projects.
- Result: Empire was successful in securing $5.9 million in grants from three separate government agencies. We continue to seek new funding opportunities for the municipality.
